Cecelia joined the OWP team in September of 2017. She jumped right in supporting the work OWP was involved in and assisted with hosting County of Santa Clara Domestic Violence Council 24th Annual Domestic Violence Conference. Read More Senior Management Analyst Ketzal Gómez Ketzal Gómez was born and raised in San José, attended Evergreen Valley College for a Sociology Associates degree, and transferred to San Francisco State University, attaining a B.A. in American Studies with an emphasis in Women and Gender Studies and Ethnic Studies. She comes from a family of community organizers and artists. As a community leader, Ketzal Gomez has actively fought for the civil rights of workers, indigenous communities, immigrants, LGBTQ+, women, students, and incarcerated individuals. Read More Community Outreach Specialist Rose Luerra Rose Luerra has dedicated 26 years of her life to serving high-risk populations in our County through various capacities as an Intervention Specialist Manager. This includes providing case management, crisis intervention, best practices through trauma informed approach, program management and re-entry resources for vulnerable populations, especially those exiting the Adult and Juvenile Justice System of incarceration for reintegration into the community. Read More Extra-Help Management Aid Karen Mestizo Karen Mestizo is an Extra-Help Management Aid, and supports the Office of Women’s Policy (OWP) and the Office of Gender-Based Violence Prevention (OGBVP). Karen leads the offices leadership program, the Girls Advisory Team, and is spearheading the organizing of the 28th Annual Domestic Violence Conference for OGBVP.
