The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) acts in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors to: promote affirmative action, to eliminate the practice of discrimination and prejudice against women based on gender in the areas of housing, employment, education, community services, and related fields.
The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) supports programs, events, and causes throughout the year collaboratively and financially through mini grants. Grants are made for up to $1,500 to non-profits for programs and one-time events, or to an individual or group raising funds that support women and girls in Santa Clara County. Requests will be considered for programs, events, or causes that promote women and girls in leadership roles, promote ending of violence against women and girls, support the health needs of women and girls.
Mini grants are open for application. The fiscal year for the Santa Clara Country is from July 1st though June 30 every year. For grant eligibility criteria, guidelines and application process please carefully go through the mini grants application and checklist below.
