Girls Advisory Team Institute
The Girls Advisory Team program is currently on pause due to COVID-19.
During the pandemic, local youth expressed the need for safe spaces to communicate their needs, heal, and build community. In response, the Office of Women’s Policy hosted its first Girl’s* Advisory Team Institute between September and October 2021. Twenty-six high school students from across Santa Clara County participated in a two-day wellness series to address individual and collective wellness needs in the context of Covid-19, remote schooling, returning to in-person schooling, and COVID-19 Recovery.
*Girls refers to gender expansive youth (cis girls, trans girls, non-binary youth, gender non-conforming youth, gender queer youth and any girl-identified youth)
